The Story Behind Wentury

“What if there was an easy way for people to get the advice they needed to start their own adventures?”

Wentury began with a personal journey that turned into a mission. Founded by Fredrikke Wedel in Trondheim, Norway, Wentury was created to make outdoor adventures more accessible to everyone, whether they’re beginners or seasoned explorers.

A few years ago, Fredrikke set out on a 440 km trek across Norway, walking from east to west. She was going through a tough time and wanted to push herself by doing something big. With little experience in long-distance hiking, she looked for advice from experienced adventurers but quickly discovered that finding practical, tailored guidance wasn’t easy. Growing up, she’d been close to nature as her dad was a sailor, hunter, and fisherman who loved the outdoors. But when it came to planning her own adventure, Fredrikke realized she needed more specialized help to feel truly prepared.
